Our ICFF Experience in New York City

June 5, 2014

Last month, the FROY crew had the pleasure of checking out the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in NYC. The fair took place at the Javits Center. Designed by the same man behind Paris’ Louvre, Chinese-American architect I.M. Pei, the exhibit space itself was already a showcase in high modern design.

With so many talented designers, it was hard to select only a few highlights. From the stunning wood furniture from the Philippines to organic-inspired chandeliers, we picked out some cool booths to share with you.

Vito Selma:

Filipino Vito Selma started out as Creative Director for Stonesets International, where he worked his way up to Head Design Director before finally taking on Vito Selma as a separate and independent brand. Selma’ designs are unique and easy to recognize, with heavy use of natural wood.

SERIP

SERIP is a Portuguese company and their designs are inspired by nature. The attention to detail and the unique incorporation of precious materials make SERIP a standout brand when it comes to luxury lighting.

TRUFIG

TRUFIG provides design solutions that make different technologies from different manufacturers that share a complementary aesthetic. The technology can be mounted completely into the wall or ceiling for matching color and texture.

Inigo Elizalde

Inigo Elizalde Rugs is a cool and colorful rug design studio based in New York City.

Council Design

Council is a modern furniture store based in California and their designs are mainly minimalistic and functional. It fits in almost any decor and the simple color palette makes the decorating process easier.
