Designing around a small space is always tricky. With a rapidly growing population and the rise of real estate prices, apartments are becoming smaller and more expensive by the year. Fortunately, by following some simple steps, it is possible to create a comfortable and functional environment even in the smallest of spaces. I selected three great projects that made the most of every available inch.
Tucked away in Manhattan’s East Village lies the Bond Street Loft. Designed by John Beckmann’s creative design firm, Axis Mundi, the loft seamlessly integrates architecture, interior design, and conceptual ideas – the main mantra of the company. The style is largely expansive and minimalist, while incorporating a warm and sophisticated character. Its Romanesque columns add a touch of classicism to the contemporary theme.
